On March 2nd and 3rd, Rubenstein Law sponsored the FL Strawberry Festival and had a great time "jamming" to all the performances.
For the past 84 years, Plant City has celebrated Hillsborough County's strawberry harvest with an 11-day community event. Over 500,000 visitors make their way to the festival grounds each year to indulge in all things strawberry, check out the headline entertainment, shows, competitions, rides and exhibits.
The family-friendly event is a taste—literally—of Americana in sunny Florida. Its popularity grows each year, confirming a deeper interest in heritage and community events. It also affirms and supports the local agricultural and historical legacy of Florida's strawberry industry. Over 10,000 acres of strawberries are planted annually in the area in 2,800 farms.
The Plant City Lions Club planted the idea in the community in the 1930s to celebrate a bountiful harvest. The event saw a lull during World War II and in the years that followed it, but the American Legion Post #26 revived it in 1948. The festival is still going strong, and it has been ranked among the top 40 fairs in North America.
Rubenstein Law's Tampa staff had a great time working the booth and giving out freebies to visitors. Another year in the books, and once again, we had a great time!
