Rubenstein Law is proud to sponsor Suits for Seniors in northwest Jacksonville. Rubenstein Law partner DeWayne K. Terry serves as vice-president of the initiative and gave an address to the students at the Suiting Ceremony on Saturday, June 8. After eight weeks of training in the program, the students received a tailored suit and tie or pearls.
Working together with local high schools, Suits for Seniors program serves at-risk teens to cultivate the academic, social and leadership abilities of young people in Florida, while enhancing their traditional education and social development.
Students complete the program with skills in:
- Financial responsibility
- Executive speaking
- Etiquette training
- Resume building
- Cover letter writing
- Leading with emotional intelligence
- Goal setting
They were joined by Jacksonville councilwoman Ju'Coby Pittman and Dr. Sabrina Edwards from the TRIO program, along with Ribault High principal, Dr. Gregory Bostic, and Suits for Senior founder, Jervonte Edmonds.
