Born and raised in Miami, FL. Lisa is the youngest daughter of Cuban immigrants. She enjoyed both academic and athletic success throughout high school and eventually college and law school.

Lisa attended Florida International University where she obtained a Bachelors degree in Psychology in 2006. Lisa went on to attend FIU’s College of Law and obtained a J.D. in December of 2010. While at FIU Law, she held the distinguished position of Vice President of the Cuban American Law Society and was also chosen to compete on behalf of FIU’s National Mock Trial Team. She competed in several national and state competitions, helping place FIU Law as one of the top mock trial programs in the nation.

Prior to joining Rubenstein Law, she worked at the Alvarez Law Firm where she learned and specialized in jury selection. She had the opportunity to assist on over 20 tobacco trials, advocating for Plaintiffs.  She also worked as a Senior Associate at Simon Trial, where she continued to litigate personal injury cases on behalf of Plaintiffs.
