About Me
Being the youngest of five children, I was born and raised in Upstate New York, and obtained my undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Albany. Thereafter, I obtained my law degree at the University of Miami School of Law. For a majority of my career I defended physicians and hospitals in medical negligence matters, but recently have switched my focus to obtaining justice for the victims of medical errors, which according to a 2016 study was the third leading cause of death in the United States. I have tried many medical negligence cases to verdict. In 1998, I achieved Board Certification in the area of Civil Trial law, and have maintained that distinction to date. I have also achieved an “AV” peer review rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest level of recognition from that entity. Consistent with the above quote from Ernest Hemingway, I pride myself, without fear, in trying cases before juries when necessary to obtain full justice for my clients.
