Alyssa Levy
About
Alyssa Levy was born and raised in South Florida. The youngest daughter of a family that immigrated to the United States from Cuba, Alyssa grew up surrounded by the values of hard work, resilience, and community.
Alyssa attended Nova Southeastern University, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, graduating summa cum laude and earning Honors in her major. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor cum laude from St. Thomas University College of Law, where she ranked in the top 20% of her class. While at St. Thomas Law, Alyssa was an award-winning member of the Trial Team, competing and placing in numerous statewide competitions being recognized multiple times as “Best Advocate.” She was part of the team that won first place in the prestigious Chester Bedell Mock Trial Competition in 2024 and later returned as a finalist in 2025.
In addition to her advocacy success, Alyssa held the distinguished position of Chief of Staff on the Student Bar Association Executive Board and served as an Academic Success Program Fellow, mentoring first-year students. She was also honored with a Pro Bono Commendation Certificate for her dedication to community service.
Before becoming an attorney, Alyssa gained over eight years of hands-on litigation experience. Prior to joining Rubenstein Law, Alyssa focused on homeowner’s insurance and maritime litigation. Alyssa currently also serves as a Trial Team Coach at St. Thomas University College of Law, teaching trial advocacy and courtroom skills to future litigators.
Outside of the courtroom, Alyssa enjoys mentoring law students, reading, traveling, and spending time with her family.
