Anthony J. Soto

Anthony J. Soto has been practicing law since 1989. Prior to becoming an attorney, he enjoyed a career in law enforcement with the Metro-Dade Police Department. He held various positions such as uniform patrol, police detective, and training advisor with the Southeast Florida Institute of Criminal Justice. He retired as a police sergeant to pursue a career in the legal field.

Tony has spent his entire legal career as a litigation attorney, handling a wide range of legal matters in the area of personal injury, medical malpractice, product liability, wrongful death and premises liability. He has tried over 100 cases to verdict and has successfully obtained multiple million-dollar verdicts during his career.

Tony is board certified in civil trial law and is recognized by the Florida Bar as an expert in civil trial matters. He achieved this distinction in 1998 and has maintained his board certification ever since. He has frequently lectured on matters involving civil trials.

Tony has served on the Board of Directors of the Miami-Dade Trial Lawyers Association and Florida Justice Association. He is currently a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and, because of his experience and reputation, is frequently called upon by the Courts to serve as guardian ad litem in cases involving minors.

In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf and traveling. He and his wife of 45 years, Ginny, enjoy spending time with their two adult children at their summer home in North Carolina.
