Carlos O. Fernandez is a seasoned trial attorney with more than thirty years of litigation experience practicing throughout South Florida. Born and raised in Miami, he brings deep local roots and an extensive understanding of the South Florida legal landscape.
Carlos earned his Bachelor of Science in International Relations from Georgetown University in 1989 and received his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law in 1995. Since entering practice, he has focused his career on complex civil litigation matters, including negligence, construction defect claims, medical malpractice, automobile accidents, and premises liability.
Throughout his career, Carlos has represented clients both in his own practice and with other law firms in high‑exposure cases involving medical malpractice, wrongful death, catastrophic personal injury, negligent security, and product liability. He is known for his courtroom experience, strategic approach, and thorough case preparation.
In 2025, Carlos was a member of a trial team that obtained a landmark $100 million verdict in Miami‑Dade County in a wrongful death case arising from negligent security.
Outside the practice of law, Carlos enjoys spending time with his family and friends and is an avid supporter of the Miami Hurricanes.
