Daivelis Garcia was born in Havana, Cuba, and raised in Miami, Florida. In 2005, Daivelis graduated from Florida International University with a major in Criminal Justice and a minor in Political Science. While attending law school, Daivelis had the opportunity to complete two internships with the City of Coral Gables-City Attorney’s Office, where she worked very closely with both the City Attorney and Deputy City Attorney. Daivelis also served as a Teaching Assistant for Legal Research and Writing course; and participated in the Small Business Clinic. In her spare time, Daivelis likes spending time with her husband, family, and friends. She enjoys salsa dancing, basketball, baseball, and volunteering in Miami Rescue Mission homeless shelter.
