Our client started smoking cigarettes when he was a young child because of the cigarette advertisements he saw. By the age of 12, he was smoking a pack of cigarettes a day. He became addicted to cigarettes and despite many quit attempts and many methods, he struggled to quit smoking cigarettes. He has undergone multiple surgeries that have left him without most of his jaw and tongue and he will have to eat from a feeding tube for the remainder of his life. After a multiple week trial, the jury awarded him and his wife the compensation they deserved against a tobacco defendant.
