Kharla Salazar
About
Kharla was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She graduated from Florida International University with Bachelor’s degrees in Philosophy and Psychology, as well as a minor in Interpretation and Translation. Following her graduation in 2017, Kharla joined Rubenstein Law as a Litigation Assistant. Motivated to learn and driven to help clients, she was promoted to Team Leader and later to Paralegal. These roles provided her with the unique opportunity to understand the full scope of what litigating a case entailed, and learn from some of the firm’s talented attorneys.
During her time in law school, Kharla served as a Notes and Comments Editor on the Executive Board of the St. Thomas University Law Review. She worked as a Research Assistant, was a member of the school’s Animal Legal Defense Fund Student Chapter, and served as a clerk for General Magistrate Steven Lieberman. After completing her first year of law school, Kharla returned to Rubenstein Law, this time as a Law Clerk, balancing her academic studies with working and volunteering. Now an attorney, Kharla is prepared to represent each client with the same dedication and respect her mentors practiced with.
During her free time, Kharla enjoys watching movies with her loved ones, pop culture, advocating for the environment, and fostering cats. She is a big fan of Broadway musicals, especially Hamilton.
