Michael Petruccelli
About
Being the youngest of five children, Michael Petruccelli was born and raised in Upstate New York, and obtained his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Albany. Thereafter, Michael obtained his law degree from the University of Miami School of Law. For a majority of his career, he defended physicians and hospitals in medical negligence matters, but recently has since switched his focus to obtaining justice for the victims of medical errors, which according to a 2016 study was the third leading cause of death in the United States. Michael has tried many medical negligence cases to verdict. In 1998, he achieved Board Certification in the area of Civil Trial Law, and has maintained that distinction to date. He has also achieved an “AV” peer review rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest level of recognition from that entity. Consistent with the above quote from Ernest Hemingway, Michael prides himself, without fear, in trying cases before juries when necessary to obtain full justice for his clients.
