About
Nicholas T. Smith is a litigation attorney with Rubenstein Law’s Tampa office. Nicholas was born and raised in Orlando and has lived in Florida all of his life. He received his bachelor’s degree and law degree from the University of Florida. During law school, he worked for the Hillsborough County State Attorney’s Office where he handled the prosecution of misdemeanor and DUI offenses.
Nicholas began his career as a defense attorney for large insurance companies and corporations. He learned how insurance companies approach and evaluate cases. This experience provided insight on how to use the same strategies against them. Ultimately, he knew he wanted to help people, not corporations, and he has devoted his career to advocating for individuals and families who have been injured due to another’s negligence.
Nicholas has successfully obtained favorable results in a variety of cases, including motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, trucking accidents, and wrongful death cases. He is committed to his clients receiving the compensation they deserve and he has obtained multiple six figure and seven figure settlements and jury trial verdicts. He believes in open communication and will guide clients through each step of the legal process.
Outside of work, Nicholas enjoys running, college football, traveling, and spending time with his friends and family. He and his wife also have two young children, and they enjoy exploring Tampa Bay together.
