Sophia Carrasco
About
Sophia Carrasco is a South Florida native, born in Miami-Dade and raised in Broward County. Sophia’s parents immigrated to the United States as young adults from Venezuela and Chile and instilled in her the American dream very early on.
Sophia attended the University of South Florida for her bachelor’s degree in Political Science and graduated cum laude in May 2020. Thereafter, Sophia attended St. Thomas University College of Law and graduated cum laude in May 2023. During her time in law school, Sophia joined St. Thomas Trial Team which gave her the opportunity to compete in multiple state-wide competitions. As a competitor, Sophia was awarded State Champion at the Florida Justice Association Mock Trial Competition in 2022 and Quarter-finalist at the Chester Bedell Mock Trial Competition in 2023.
Prior to joining Rubenstein Law, Sophia advocated for indigent clients at the Broward County Public Defender’s Office. While working as an Assistant Public Defender, Sophia handled hundreds of cases and litigated countless motions and trials. Now that Sophia has joined Rubenstein Law, she is excited to continue fearlessly advocating for her clients. Sophia is dedicated to assisting clients both in English and Spanish.
Outside of work, Sophia enjoys traveling and teaching weekly group fitness classes.
